Issues with "My Location"
 

A little while ago a bug had been noticed with “My Location” function in the Irish Taxi app. We’ve been working hard to get it fixed for the last week and should have it resolved in the next few days. That means that there will be an update of Irish Taxi v1.0.2 available for download from App Store some time next week. There are also some very exciting changes and improvements coming to Fare Estimator! But more about that once the update is ready!

    Please can you check location of our company on the app. We are the biggest company in Cork City. We have an office in the city centre but we cover work on all sides of city centre within a 25 mile radius. Not all the other companies cover all these areas. At present we are not showing up in lots of areas that we should. Thanking you in advance.

      Thanks for sharing your experience with our app. There is a number of issues we have noticed with the first version of our app since more and more taxi companies got added to it. The problem you’ve described is a known issue with the logic of app’s listing system, however there’s been no quick fix for it. The good news is that we have found a solution that we’re currently working on and it will be integrated in the next version of Irish Taxi.

      As a temporary solution before the next version is out we could suggest you post us an email at info@smartapps.ie with names of furthest areas in Cork City you cover and we’ll make sure your company gets listed there too.
